I tried Kudu Biltong from South Africa and was impressed. There is a bit of gristle, but not so much that anyone would be turned off. This Biltong is made of beef, has a hint of vinegar and is not nearly as salty as typical American beef jerky. My daughter and I both liked it as a small snack. I will be ordering more. Thanks.
All of our S. African guests were thrilled with this authentic Biltong. I was very pleased with how fast the shipping was. Very happy customer.
It's too salty (yes, biltong can be too salty). I love biltong, having grown up with the stuff in South Africa. I was very glad to get hold of this biltong in the USA but not quite satisfied with it. and saturated with preservatives. The droƫwors (dried sausage) from the same vendor is much better and I'll reorder that but not the biltong.
This was bought as a gift for my husband, who grew up in S.Africa. It is one of his favorite treats and it keeps him happy and quiet for hours. So, I do recommend this, even though I personally have never even tried it. That's because my husband loves it so much, he refuses to even let me taste any for fear I might love it and then eat it all myself.
This chewy, flavorsome delght is just about as good as it gets.I would like to say the bags are too small but that would me being greedy. If you have never had biltong before, its a little different but after your third peice, you will be ordering again.Enjoy.p.s. Since moving to the US, I thought my times for enjoying Biltong were long gone. Well, not so. as for the sausage, did I like. Not so much.
